On April 25, 2007 I sent an email to Mr. Pearson expressing my interest in meeting with him in May to discuss relocating to the Palm Springs area. His enthusiastic reply and affirmation of living in the desert area convinced me right away that he was eager to serve and help. When I told him what we were interested in, he immediately sent me some information and helped me set up an account with his agency. He was aware that we intended to make the move in a couple of years but continued to send us information so that he could plan an itinerary for our visit in May.
When we met, both my partner, Dave, and I felt very comfortable talking with him as he started driving to the furtherest reaches of Palm Desert to show us a condominium (that's what we were interested in) and work our way back to Palm Springs throughout the day. He showed us a total of 15 places. We liked just one of them but we weren't ready to purchase yet.
We continued emailing throughout the year, affirming or rejecting places that he recommended. The next time we met was in September, 2008. He once again had a nice assortment of condos so we were on our way. We got to the first one and I complained (again) that it wasn't big enough for us. He explained that most of the places we would look at that day would be similar and suggested that perhaps we might consider buying a house in order to fit our needs. We agreed to look at a place that might give us a better idea of space and cost. He knew of a development that would be suitable for us so we went to see the models. What happened next was a complete surprise to all of us. The place was right, the price was right, the location was right. Because of his insight and willingness to help us, we serendipitously found our new home in Palm Springs. We bought it that day, knowing we wouldn't be moving in for another year.
Since the closing, Mr. Pearson has regularly been keeping watch over our new home. He has assisted us with the installation of appliances, landscaping and security. He has actually gone beyond what is normally expected of an agent to provide us with the assurance that all is being taken care of until we move in October, 2009.
In addition, he recommended an agent here in RI to help us sell our condo. He contacted him last fall and made the arrangements for us. Since then he has contacted us to make sure that process for selling our home here in RI is on schedule. Once again, he has gone above and beyond what's normally done.
In essence, he is reliable, helpful, knowledgeable in his field, perceptive to the needs of his clients, courteous, patient and efficient in his work. We have already recommended him to a couple of our friends and I would do so to anyone who ever asked me for a "good" real estate agent.
Thank you

Richard will work tirelessly to get a transaction completed leaving the client feeling satisfied that the agent did what would be expected and then a little bit more. Richard is the only Realtor we use in Palm Springs.

For my wife's and my first Coachella Valley home purchase, which we intend to use both as a quality rental property and for personal use, we set out some very deliberate expectations of what we wanted, where it should be and how much we would pay. Over the span of several years, Richard was invaluable in providing timely and accurate updates about qualified properties, showing us only the most appropriate listings and confidently finding us the very unit we bought a year ago.
As out-of-town buyers, he was also a joy to work with and quite helpful throughout the negotiating and closing process. We intend to buy several more properties at the right time for the right price in the Palm Springs area, and will surely use Richard Pearson in each case. All in all, working with Richard was an impressively satisfying experience!
